Acne skin care and over the counter acne products

Acne treatment products depend on the severity of acne in the facial skin. This could range from mild, moderate to severe. The most common ingredient found among acne treatment products are salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Salicylic acid is a mild acid that works to treat acne by breaking down the scale that causes clogging of the hair follicles. This is a proven safe and effective way of getting rid of mild acne. Salicylic acid encourages exfoliation of excess dead skin cells. It also increases cell turnover and helps reestablish the normal skin cell replacement cycle. Likewise, this does not have any effect on the production of sebum or the presence of p. acne bacteria which is the pimple causing bacteria. Just do not overdo and overuse this since it might sting and you are your skin. Remember that this is an exfoliating agent which might cause your skin to peel and flake.
One of the methods of removing these scars is by filling scars with the help of collagen injections so that the skin is stretched and smoothened out. This method can be used for soft scars and another problem with collagen injection is that it should be repeated after few months. Autogous fat transfer is a method for the treatment of deeper scars. In this method the fat is taken from another part of one's body and injected into the scarred tissue. This procedure should also be repeated after few years since the fat gets absorbed into the skin.
Aside from acne treatment products that help people get rid of acne, there are also natural skin care products for acne prone individuals that help keep a person's skin clean and healthy. Such products are effective in keeping breaks out at bay, and they are usually cleansing and toning products that are aimed at promoting healthy skin. There are a lot of products out there that are created for this purpose, but quite a number of them have certain components that can either cause or aggravate acne. This may be due to the clogging of the person's pores or allergic reactions to one or two synthetic substances that are included in the formulation of these products. Natural skin care products for acne may still cause some of these reactions, but due to the fact that they contain more natural ingredients, they are less likely to do so than other non-natural skin products.
